Saturday:
We depart London at 08.00 to start our journey north. Our first stop is at Bowness on Windermere. One of the best ways to enjoy the sights and attractions of the Lake District is to take a cruise on the largest lake ~ Windermere. Cruises offer a choice of short excursions or a complete circuit of the lake. (From £4.00 - £9.75). Your Tour Manager will be able to advise you on all the various cruise options available to you and arrange for a discounted group price. You will find the World of Beatrix Potter, home to Peter Rabbit and Mrs Tiggy-winkle and many great craft and gift shops in the town centre. Late afternoon we make our way to the picturesque seaside town of Whitehaven. Time to settle in before venturing out for the evening.

Sunday:
We head away after breakfast to visit Grasmere. It is here that you can visit Dove Cottage, home of William Wordsworth. The award-winning Wordsworth Museum displays a unique collection of manuscripts, books and paintings interpreting the life and works of Wordsworth. You can take a tour of the Cottage and explore the garden. In the village of Grasmere youll find Sarah Nelsons Gingerbread Shop where gingerbread is baked fresh each day.
Continuing onto our final destination. The town of Keswick located near Derwentwater. Yet another opportunity to enjoy a lake cruise on Derwentwater. The pencil Museum is only a short walk from the town centre. Here you can find out how they get the lead inside the pencil. The Cars for Stars Museum features vehicles from TV and films, including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the Batmobile, Back to the Future Delorean, the James Bond collection, Del Boys Reliant Robin, Knightriders KITT, Laurel & Hardys Model T, The Flintstones, The Munsters and many other famous vehicles and motorcycles. The evening is spent in Keswick.

Monday:
Heading away after breakfast we make our way to Hawkshead. A small village with cobblestone streets and quaint houses. You can visit the Hawkshead outdoor clothing company and the school where William Wordsworth attended. There is also the Beatrix Potter Gallery home to the original illustrations from her books. Enjoy a pub lunch before we start homeward journey.

Departure time: We depart London from Bressenden Place at 08.00 and aim to be back in London no later than 21.00


General Booking Conditions:
All Day Trips: Once booked and paid for are non refundable nor transferable under any circumstances.
Weekend and Short Breaks: 50% cancellation charges if cancelled before 14 days of travel, if cancelled less than 14 days 100% cancellation charges. Transfers on weekend tours can be made up to 14 days prior to departure, subject to availability. A transfer fee of £20 per person will be charged.
Tracks cannot be held responsible for any costs, incurred due to the late arrival or departure of the coach.
Those booked on our weekend and short break tours are required to have travel insurance to cover them throughout the tour.
We reserve the right to alter the itineraries as required. On the rare occasion when we have insufficient numbers we reserve the right to withdraw the tour. All clients will be notified in advance and offered an alternative tour or full refund.
Those travelling on tours outside the United Kingdom are required to travel with their passports and any necessary visa. The issue of a travel visa is the sole responsibility of the client.



Entrance Fees: Unless otherwise stated in the itinerary, entrance fees are NOT included in the cost of the tour.
